Privacy Policy

This policy covers polybpipereplacement.ca and explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to information you send us. It is written to match what the site actually does - not a template.

Who we are

Poly B Pipe Replacement Calgary is a service that arranges polybutylene pipe replacement for homeowners in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere and Okotoks. What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form, we receive only the fields on that form:

• your name and email address (both required - without them we cannot reply)
• the area or address you tell us about
• the reason you are getting in touch, and anything you write in the message box
• the result of a free tool, if you ran the cost calculator or the insurance checker before submitting
• which page you were on when you submitted, so we know what you were reading

We do not ask for and do not want your phone number, date of birth, financial details, or any government identifier. Please do not send them.

Abuse prevention. To stop automated spam, the form briefly keeps a one-way scrambled version of the submitting IP address so it can count repeat submissions. It is not readable as an address, it is not linked to your enquiry, and it is discarded after about ten minutes.

What we do not do

• No analytics. This site runs no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager and no equivalent.
• No advertising or social pixels. Nothing here reports your visit to Facebook, Meta, or any ad network.
• No advertising cookies, and no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The site stores exactly one small flag in your own browser, remembering that you have already seen the emergency-leak pop-up so it does not reappear. It contains no personal information, never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
• We never sell your information. Not to lead brokers, not to anyone.

Who we share it with

If you ask us to arrange a Poly B assessment or replacement, we pass your enquiry to the vetted plumbing partner who would carry out that work, so they can contact you. That is the service you are asking for. If the job includes putting the drywall back, the drywall trade handling that stage receives what they need to schedule it.

Beyond that, your information is disclosed only to the companies that host this website and deliver our email, and only as part of running the service - or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are stored on the website server in a folder that is not reachable from the internet, and a copy is emailed to us so we can respond. We keep enquiries while we are helping you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Ask us to delete yours and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email polybpipereplacement@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This is a service for homeowners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security, honestly stated

Enquiry data sits in a directory that is blocked from public access, on a server behind a security provider, and the site is served over HTTPS. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise - which is also why we ask you not to send financial or identity details through this form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly edited in.
